About the Team
TikTok's Content Strategy team focuses on how Content Operations work ties back to core company metrics. The team has experienced tremendous growth potential in monetization, and is seeking a Lifestyle & Education Strategist in our Content organization.

In this role, you will develop business strategy for North America (US+Canada) and Australia/New Zealand teams who drive our partnerships and programming efforts in the Lifestyle & Education vertical. This is a highly visible function within the organization, with collaboration and transparency paramount to success. Applicants should be comfortable making presentations and recommendations to senior leadership to inform critical business decisions, analyzing complex datasets to cull out insights, and navigating matrix organization structures to drive alignment across teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the day-to-day strategy expert supporting partner teams who focus on Lifestyle & Education.
  • Develop strategic recommendations on an ongoing basis and as part of regular planning cycles; achieve buy-in to execute across relevant stakeholders and leaders.
  • Identify new content, user, and creator growth opportunities in Lifestyle & Education through the use of internal, third party, and competitive datasets.
  • Partner with Insights and Business Intelligence teams to further develop deep knowledge and expertise of the Lifestyle & Education space through analytical deep-dives, data modeling, and user research.
  • Support goal setting and benchmark development for Lifestyle & Education teams both in regular planning cycles and for specific Lifestyle & Education initiatives and activations in the market; partner with programming and partnership teams to develop plans that will achieve topline goals and growth.
  • Partner with the Content Insights, Data, and FP&A teams to perform ongoing analysis of successes and failures in order to refine strategic methodologies, goal-setting, and frameworks.
  • Identify any need for new operational processes and mechanisms, and bring them to life.
  • Work closely with other regional strategists as well as XFN teams at the global and cross-regional level to develop and execute coordinated processes, strategies, and recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher; advanced degree (MBA/MA) preferred but not required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data, insights, business development, content strategy, or operational strategy role; background in media/entertainment or tech preferred, with noted interest in the content space.
  • Proficient in data analysis and strategy development, including high degree of comfort using third party research datasets (such as GWI) and partnering with data scientists and/or finance partners on modeling; data visualization and/or SQL experience a strong preference.
  • Ability to balance complex strategy and analysis with strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good team spirit, willing to accept challenges, and the ability to be self-sufficient in finding ways to add value and improve the business.
  • Strong ability to foster relationships and work cross-functionally, at times with teams across time zones.
  • Significant knowledge of the state of the media/entertainment industry and competitive landscape as well as an informed perspective on the future of content creation and consumption.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $95000 - $178600 annually.



Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
